...from a BookLover

E-book teaser today!

At the moment I am, amongst other books, reading an e-book called Dark Secrets by A. M. Hudson.

It is a YA book, with a teenage love story in focus. I downloaded it for free, and even though it has its cute moments I am not sure I would have bought it.

That said, I find myself curious as to where this particular love story will end! It certainly seems to grow darker at an alarming speed - and there is a fine line between trust and death...

My teaser:
" A beauty, I fear -" he touched his chest, "- that is a perfection I do not deserve."

Not the same as a real book, but it works...!

Childhood memories

My blogging has now reached a full yearly cycle - my first blog post was written last summer. I also find myself back in our little family cabin. I cannot tell you how glad I am that my grandma made it through another year, and that I get to spend another weekend with her up here. The way her face lights up and her back straightens the second she sees this place is nothing short of astonishing!

I am sitting with a cuppa tea that my mum has made me, some chocolate, my latest book finds and my diary all within reach - am I a lucky girl or what? Even though it is a bit wet outside; in here it is all snug and cozy ❤

Happy times!

Cozy!

Thorough forest, thorough meadow...

A Fairy Song

Over hill, over dale,
   Thorough bush, thorough brier,
   Over park, over pale,
   Thorough flood, thorough fire,
   I do wander every where,
   Swifter than the moon's sphere;
   And I serve the fairy queen,
   To dew her orbs upon the green.
   The cowslips tall her pensioners be;
   In their gold coats spots you see;
   Those be rubies, fairy favours,
   In those freckles live their savours:
   I must go seek some dew-drops here,
And hang a pearl in every cowslip's ear.

20 years from now..

Twenty years from now

you will be
more disappointed
by the things that
you didn't do
than by the ones
you did do.
So throw off the bowlines.
Sail away from the safe harbor.
Catch the trade winds in your sails.
Explore.
Dream.
Discover.”

A teaser from The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore

I absolutely love this book, and thought I would share a little bit with you today. I find it so happy, so comforting and adorable.

There is a short animation made of the book as well that I posted some time ago - you should check it out if you are curious!

This is so true, right? Sometimes I truly get lost in books

Now, here is today's teaser

"Morris tried to keep the books in some sort of order, but they always mixed themselves up. The tragedies needed cheering up and would visit with the comedies. The encyclopedias, weary of facts, would relax with the comic books and fictions. All in all it was an agreeable jumble."

What do you think? Have you read it before? If you have not I suggest you go find yourself a copy of your own - you will absolutely come to love it.
